Spring is here and it is welcome. There has been so much snow and rain here this year. Hopefully all the plants will grow big and beautiful. We need some color outside. We have been working hard getting quilts done and sent off for some organizations. I have been quilting for Quilts of Valor, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Legion. The Quilts of Valor organization is working hard to cover all of our wounded worriors. Hope that you have joined the ranks to help this cause. Habitat for Humanity is building a home in our community and the local guild is making quilts for all of the beds. The local American Legion had a ham and bean supper to raise money for the Quilts of Valor group in our quilters guild and raised a good sum of money. The guild is making a quilt for them to raffle off to make money for our VA hospital. A lot of good people working hard to help more who can use the help and consideration. It makes me feel good to help all I can to do these things for others. Quilters are a great and generous group of people and it is a pleasure to be among them.


 

I have been working a lot on jobs and also for raffle quilts for our local quilters guild, public library, and Quilts of Valor. There are some new pictures of some of my work in the Quilting Photo Album page. Hope to have some full quilt pictures soon but most of the pictures are close ups of my sewing.
